I was in deep worship to God one day and was reminded time and time again by Holy Spirit of a song I had listened to some time ago. The songwriter expressed a wonderful message in this song which is the words of God spoken to her. As she sings she says: Some people in a church service do not raise their hands but my hands were pierced that they may be able to worship me. Some do not move their feet to dance before me but my feet were pierced for them to have the freedom to praise me. Their thoughts are far from me and on things that don’t matter but the thorns were sat upon my head that their minds have stayed upon me.
I was pierced in my side that they may honor me. And the lashes on my back that they may bow unto me.
So, as a child of God – I truly love this message within this song as I continue to cherish what my savior has done and supplied for me. I will always walk worthy in it. What a great exchange!
Be blessed.
